This process begins with either a customer need or preliminary design of what the platform should consist of. This is basically a brainstorming session during which your CIARA team will sit down with you to discuss the project’s needs, wants and must haves. Once these items are discussed a preliminary concept can be designed to fit your criteria.

Once all of the solution requirements are discussed, agreed upon and documented the subsequent step is to begin presenting hardware options for how best to meet your objectives. CIARA’s extensive solution expertise will help you through the cumbersome and confusing process of designing a new platform.

The system design phase consists by determining what key attributes must be included within the platform. Pulling these attributes together into a solution is CIARA expertise. We strive for elements with will reduce support costs and maintenance issues thus extend the platforms life expectancy. To achieve this, CIARA partners with industry leading manufacturer that provide us with forward looking roadmaps and visibility into technology advancements and trends. Using this information CIARA is able to provide our customers with multiple hardware options that suit their hardware requirement.

What type of usage model, physical restrictions, operating environments and other guideline to follow will typically be determining the list of hardware and software to be used. This will typically greatly restrict the field of “Off-the-Shelf” solutions that are available. Typically the goal is to choose an appliance with the smallest factor, highest efficiency, best price/performance ratio, longest MTBF and easiest serviceability.
