Standard Stock Management
Standard stock process typically consists of a customer providing their Program Manager with their forecast (Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-Annual or Annually) to which production builds and stocks to. The stock is purchased and manufactured based on purchase orders which the customer provides.
VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory)
Vendor Managed Inventory allows our customers to stock finished goods on their shelf without carrying the expense on their books prior to them fulfilling a customer’s order. This arrangement requires Min – Max management of inventory and stock levels by both CIARA and the customer to make sure any spikes in needs are accounted for. A VMI relationship can be utilized globally and be as flexible as needed.
Evaluation/Demo and RMA Pool
The Evaluation-Demo and RMA pool management is simply the management of COI (Customer Owned Inventory). This relationship authorizes CIARA to both maintain and refresh the Evaluation/RMA stock for the customer when the units are returned from the field. The refresh process typically consists of reviewing the unit when it is returned and replacing any damaged components bringing the unit back up to specification. The unit then is sent through our full integration and QA process. Once complete the system is repackaged and placed in a dedicated inventory location (Evaluation or RMA) to be reshipped when needed.
SPM (Spare Part Management)
SPM is the management of customer owned spare parts. This service is used for advanced replacements for RMA or in the event that a spare kit is needed or sold to an end customer. CIARA will manage this inventory for our customers using a Min – Max process and reviewed on a pre-defined basis to account for MTBF, failure analysis and EOL. The spare part management is handled much the same as COI shipments.
